The overall experience was pleasant
enough but it was a bit closer than I expected. That being that the
sites are roughly 28x58 resembling a large parking lot with trees
and grass. The plus side being that we had full hookups, TV
reception was good using our stock mounted roof antenna pulling in
stations from Williamsburg and Richmond not that we went there to
watch TV. It was quiet even though the park was full and there were
a fair number of leashed dogs. The heat kept you inside most of the
day with the heat index during the day being 100-110 most of the
time. There were a number of thunder storms and some rain but that's
to be expected during this time of year. The park has some really
nice features with a club house, swimming pool, laundry mat, showers
in the bathrooms and an fenced area to exercise your pets. It's
really close to the Pottery and local shopping. I think we had about
the smallest rig there with the majority of them being Class A. I
think the new owners are really trying to make this a real winner
for those looking to go to this area. With good weather, it would be
ideal for those wanting to venture out to Colonial Williamsburg,
Jamestown and the surrounding area. |
