PN G75.5+1.7
Image Information
After seeing an image of this object posted on an
astronomy Yahoo group I decide to try my hand at it. Finding coordinates
to center this object proved a bit hard but on the second night of
trying I finally zeroed it in. According to newscientist.com, this
extremely faint nebula was discovered by amateur Dave Jurasevich of the
Mount Wilson Observatory
in California on July 6 ,2008. You can read the full article

This image is compiled from 48 - 20 minute
Ha images. A total of 16hours of data was used for this image. All
data was acquired using MaxImDl/CCD version 5 using ACP.
Images were calibrated and
De-Bloomed in MaxIm using Ron Wodaski's De-Bloomer plug-in. All images
aligned, median combined, and histogram adjusted at 32 bit depth
using Pix Insight version 1.61. The master images were
combined and registered in Pix Insight. Photoshop CS 4 was used to
create the web version JPGs. The image data was
collected over August 28-30, 2010. |
