NGC7008 - Fetus Nebula

Image Information

This nebula is found  in the constellation of Cygnus. It is a circum-polar object in the Northern hemisphere meaning that it is always above the horizon. It is a planetary nebula with a given magnitude of 10.7 and it's apparent size is 1.4x1.4 arc minutes. It was discovered by William Herschel in the later part of the 1700's.

This image is compiled from 22 - 20 minute luminance frames and 5 - 20 minute sub frames for each RGB channel. All taken at -5C, dark, bias and flat calibrated in MaxImDl. Levels and curves adjusted in Photoshop CS II. Layer sharpening used in luminance nebula area.
